The film is about three men who rob a liquor store. They are all being investigated and pursued by the authorities – more or less justifiably – and find an original way to get money to pay their taxes. But it's one thing to steal 50,000 bottles of liquor, and quite another to get rid of them...
The film is about suburban families, trying to be perfect housewives, and their theories in what is the right way of treating and accepting husbands and kids.
About the illegal radio station A.K.Y. and the men that operated it in Norway, based in Kristiansand and Oslo, that helped carry the fight against the Nazis in the bleakest days of WW2. The film is based on a true story, and several of those who participated in the real events play themselves.
