The film revolves around Sherifa, the Pasha's daughter, who marries Adel, the driver's son, and gives birth to her daughter Fatima. However, the Pasha forces her to divorce her, and Fatima ends up in the reformatory.
On his way home one day, Morsi finds a child at the side of a road. He feels sorry for her, and takes her home with him to raise alongside his own daughter, Saniyya. The two girls become quite close over the years. When Morsi dies, their lives take very different paths, after a lot of suffering....
A historical drama that shows the struggle of the Egyptian people against the British occupation and the numerous sacrifices people made in order to achieve freedom, equality and human dignity in a fight for the country they love dearly.
