When Vikraman returns home after completing his studies, he finds out that his brother has illegally acquired all the property leaving his widowed sister in poverty and decides to set things right.
Gopinath finds his brother Raghunath's car and belongings at an accident site along with a letter. While the family mourns his death, the police investigate the unusual circumstances of the case.
