A seemingly mystical murder takes Captain Sophie Maliquot back to the Mont-Saint-Michel region where she spent part of her childhood and where her father, who died years earlier, is buried.
Blandine's life changes dramatically when her sister makes a deathbed confession that she sent an innocent man to jail 15 years previously by refusing to give him an alibi. Blandine will have to do all she can to get this man released and find out who really killed her best friend.
Christophe agrees to be filmed by his roommate Stéphane, while he is searching for a meaningful engineering job. Since he voluntarily resigned his job when he was to be moved to quality control, he does not get unemployment benefits, and goes to classes on how to contest the decision.
