Sixteen-year-old Michael Dunn arrives at St. Basil's Catholic Boys School in Brooklyn circa 1965. There, he befriends all of the misfits in his class as they collide with the repressive faculty and discover the opposite sex as they come of age.
An artist fails a test and is required to direct traffic in New York City's Holland Tunnel. He winds up falling in love with a beautiful woman, who takes him to the moon on a Lunar Cruiser.
After thawing, a young prehistoric woman, Lucy, gets herself taken care of by David, a young intern at a marketing firm. Working on a campaign ad for a cosmetics company, David becomes Mr. Bigshot when his protégé is chosen to be the model/spokeswoman for her animal personality.
Gangster Jacques Blinbaum spins the tale of how he began his life of crime, beginning when he faked his own kidnapping in order to scam his father out of the ransom money. From there, Blinbaum moonlights as a costumed crusader, wandering the rooftops of Manhattan.
